Job Title: Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer

Certification: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) (Good to have)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in IT systems and technology within a telecom environment, encompassing both legacy switching and next-generation technologies. The role requires extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the configuration and maintenance of various network components and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Telecommunications Design and Support: Translate business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and orders for LAN, CAN, WAN, voice, and video systems.
- Engineering Analysis: Conduct in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government public safety agencies, supporting strategic modernization efforts.
- Infrastructure Design: Design supporting cable/wiring infrastructure for construction projects, including voice, data, video, and wireless systems.
- Project Supervision: Supervise projects, staff, and other personnel involved in telecommunications infrastructure development.
- Program Management: Provide overall program management services, including making presentations to national, state, and local officials.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- Network Components: Configuration and maintenance of gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, network servers, and multiplexers.
- Telecom Systems: Experience with calling card platforms, TDM, Dialogic, and VoIP systems (SIP, H.323 protocols, dial peers, and VoIP carrier trunking).
- Legacy and Next-Gen Technologies: Proficiency in both legacy switching and next-generation telecom technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a telecom environment.
- Certification: Good to have Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
