Sales Manager South Alabama

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the organization, strategy, communication, execution and quality of their respective team. They will captain the efforts and training of their team. They serve to create and maintain the company’s interest, enthusiasm and loyalty for the company and their respective portfolio. The Area Sales Manager is to direct the advertising and sales promotion of the reps within their market. They will be jointly responsible for establishing effective incentive programs and contests for sales personnel. The Area Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Specific Responsibilities

  • To represent the company in a respectful manner and to maintain professional integrity always.
  • Ensure market coverage - sick time, vacation, open routes.
  • Daily communication with sales personnel.
  • Set accountability measures and expectations for their team.
  • To provide sales training for the Sales Team by accompanying them to retail outlets for the purpose of on-the-job training and power selling. Emphasis will be on “how to” as well as selling strategy.
  • To assign specific key accounts for development.
  • Communicate sales data to the team in weekly meetings - MBOs, initiative and sales updates.
  • To establish and maintain a competitive point of sale and merchandising program as the material at hand allows. POS must be programmed and conserved to make sure the available investment is properly utilized. They will ensure that a perpetual inventory is maintained on permanent POS.
  • To direct price promotions so that Alabev is competitive in trade advertisements, on the shelf, in the cooler and on displays.
  • To establish and maintain good trade relations with key volume retailers (package & draft) chain buyers.
  • To work with supplier representatives in a reasonable way to see that their duties and activities are properly executed. This includes internal activity, training, brain storming strategy, cross promotion, mixology, trade contact, tastings, and events.
  • The Area Sales Manager will comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • The Area Sales Manager is designated the QA manager for his team and will be responsible for rotation and the freshest product available as outlined in our Product Quality Care and Procedures policy.
  • The Area Sales Manager will see that competitive point of sale and merchandising activity is established on all routes. They will follow up to see that displays are booked, properly constructed and merchandised.
  • The Area Sales Manager will meet or exceed the monthly requirements of Key Account Calls, Work Withs and MBO compliance.
  • 16. Any other duties as assigned by AlaBev management.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift forty pounds of weight on a frequent and repetitive basis.

Qualifications

  • At least High School graduate.
  • Business to Business Sales Experience.
