Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of complex, high-impact programs that align with our strategic objectives. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong program management skills, advanced proficiency in project planning tools, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Lead multiple related projects, ensuring they are aligned with the company s strategic goals and objectives. Communicate program vision and objectives clearly to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Program Performance: Responsible for program performance that meets/exceeds both customer and company requirements and expectations for cost management (and profit), delivery and quality.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to track program progress, performance, and outcomes, providing regular updates to Align senior leadership and the customer. Use project management software to track and report on project performance, ensuring transparency and accuracy in communication.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program goals, progress and status. Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement program strategies, roadmaps, and objectives to drive overall success. Utilize advanced project planning tools and methodologies to create detailed project plans that ensure alignment and effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and optimize resources across projects to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Communicate resource needs and allocations clearly with cross-functional teams to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the program portfolio. Communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders promptly and clearly.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve program management processes, methodologies, and tools. Communicate changes and updates to the team and stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Encourage open communication within the team to enhance collaboration and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex programs in [industry/sector]. Demonstrated experience in using advanced project planning and management software.
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in program management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana) is essential. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), with the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements and updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior leadership, customers, and team members. Proven ability to manage communication channels and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to challenges. Ability to communicate solutions and rationales clearly and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills are required to navigate and manage changes effectively.
