Are you a Mechanical Engineer with an interest in solving existing HVAC and plumbing problems in the built environment? Do you enjoy performing forensic analysis on mechanical systems within buildings?

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer dedicated to building restoration design, determining points of failure, construction quality assurance, and building commissioning. You will be instrumental in determining the cause of the mechanical systems failure, as well as designing solutions to rectify the issue. You can be involved with construction quality assurance, historic restoration, repair design, restoration design, forensic analysis, and more!

As a Forensic Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in investigating and analyzing mechanical heating and cooling equipment loads, existing equipment installation, and equipment output. From assessing damage to uncovering root causes, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and proper operation of HVAC and plumbing systems in a wide variety of building types.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct on-site inspections and investigations of mechanical failures.
  • Analyze data, system designs, and performance reports.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings.
  • Communicate complex technical information in a clear, concise manner.

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • 10+ years of experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
