Director Logistics

The Director, Logistics will take care of receiving/shipping, solving problems in the field as well as all the steps necessary for the proper functioning of the receiving and shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient logistics management. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving and shipping; have a distribution process that ensures on-time delivery;
• Putting in place mechanisms to ensure good performance;
• Ensure the proper management of the process by using the tools in place such as the ERP;
• Establish effective working relationships with other teams, both internally and externally;
• Communicate procurement practices and policies to all users within the organization and implement best practices to ensure their adoption using excellent communication and influence skills, among others.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in an related field
• Demonstrated significant experience in a leadership role in logistics as well as in employee management;
• Great expertise in international transportation;
• Strategic thinking, organizational skills;
• Interpersonal skills and a strong ability to liaise between multiple internal and external stakeholders;
• Excellent communicator both orally and in writing;
• Possess a strong sense of ethics;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work alone and in a team, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with sometimes short deadlines;
• Very good computer knowledge and skills;
• Bilingualism is essential, both oral and written.
