Job Description:

Apex has an immediate opportunity for a Sales and Use Tax Specialist at a global specialty materials client in the King of Prussia area. The ideal candidate will have B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience in accounting. A Hybrid schedule is available, but will need to be on-site for 2-3 days/week. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for full-time.
Sales and Use Tax Specialist
Responsibilities:
This position is for a Staff Accountant and is responsible for the following:

• Calculation and filing of quarterly estimates - approximately 275 per quarter
• Calculation and filing annual extensions- approximately 275
• Prepare and file quarterly Excise tax returns - PCORI, Superfund, FIT
• Assist with e-filing transmission of annual Corporate Income Tax returns
• Assist with resolution of State tax notices
• Maintain/update the SIT state model each quarter in CorpTax (income tax compliance software)

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience in accounting required
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products required
• Knowledge of CorpTax (or similar income tax compliance software) preferred
• Knowledge of CorpTax Office and CorpTax Planner a plus.
