SMV Recruiting is actively looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Our client is a dynamic player in the heavy equipment and machinery industry, with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, driving growth, and optimizing operations within this dealer network. Our client is looking for someone with heavy machinery manufacturing/dealership networking experience, coupled with experience leading cultural change, and a track record to streamlining process and increasing profitability in a fast and dynamic environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead financial initiatives, work closely with the executive leadership team, and leverage data-driven insights to make impactful decisions and lead strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives while supervising the accounting, finance and IT team
  • Oversee end-to-end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations (SOX) including month-end closing activities, cash, credit, assets, etc.
  • Lead strategic forecasting efforts to anticipate market trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage the annual budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for each operating function within the company including but not limited to labor productivity and asset management.
  • Analyze data to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions, optimize processes, and drive business growth
  • Responsible for tax strategy and leading annual audits
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership while driving financial excellence
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement data-centric strategies
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial processes, streamline operations, and enhance productivity
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, ideally for a heavy machinery manufacturer or distributor
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving financial performance
  • Demonstrated ability to positively motivate and influence others and lead creative problem-solving efforts
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
