Position Summary

Revolution Space is looking for a Quality Engineer to support quality functions for our in-space propulsion products. The Quality Engineer will ensure that our process and product quality planning and execution meet established quality standards and industry requirements to assure zero defects.

The position is full-time located at our Boston, MA headquarters and is available to be filled immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Define quality control plans for all critical points of the supply chain and manufacturing process
  • Setup quality data access and collection processes, methods, and tools to measure critical process and product parameters. Monitor and analyze quality data for relevant information to identify trends and out of control data. Use the knowledge obtained from the data analysis information to drive improvements.
  • Create, connect, and integrate quality data access and collection tools and methods.
  • Assure the integrity of suspect and non-conforming material process – drive and facilitate the review and disposition approval.
  • Assure product process changes are managed and approved to required quality standards.
  • As assigned, lead/facilitate structured problem-solving activities: root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification effectiveness.
  • Create quality management system documentation, process and product control plans, quality SOPs.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in physical sciences or engineering. Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Engineering or Physics.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience aerospace, semiconductor, or electronics
  • Demonstrated experience with quality systems (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100); interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics; use/application of mechanical, electrical, and optical inspection/measurement/test tools and analytical tools; problem solving skills - experienced with structured problem solving (root cause analysis and corrective action) methods (e.g. 8D, A3, DMAIC),
  • Proficient with data analysis and statistical analysis.
  • High level of learning agility: pro-active ability and willingness to learn and apply
  • Action oriented under aggressive schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Eligibility and ability to obtain a government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience aerospace, semiconductor, or electronics
  • Extensive experience with data analysis and statistical analysis.
  • Currently holds a government security clearance
