Job Overview

The supervisor of Supply Chain at Piramal will support the department in optimizing global functions for sales of inhaled anesthetic products. This role entails overseeing logistics, distribution, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. Key responsibilities include managing the lifecycle of vaporizers and adaptors, enhancing customer operations, handling invoicing, and driving process improvements to ensure efficiency and productivity in the supply chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Vaporizer Operations - oversees vaporizer specialist team to lead and manage the customer vaporizer experience
  • Oversees processes for orders, placements, installation returns, complaints, and redeployment
  • Serves as key contact for all ROW vaporizer operations with global stakeholders
  • Creation of purchase requisitions for all vaporizers in ROW markets
  • Manages and oversees POs, PO confirmations and delivery communication to the sales team for vaporizer and adaptor orders
  • Invoice management and processing in coordination with finance team for payment to suppliers
  • Assists in communication and resolution when needed in regard to logistic issues for vaporizers and adaptors
  • Proactively resolves customer service issues through coordination with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and 3PL
  • Implements and maintains systems for all aspects of tracking and reporting of the physical location of Vaporizer assets, including planning and executing audits regularly to ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate and assist in requests for OEM paperwork, CoCs and any required documentation needed for vaporizer and adaptor use in country
  • Interfaces with medical device suppliers to establish vendor relationships and maintain procedures for vaporizer returns to the manufacturer for Adverse Event Report (AER)/Medical Device Report (MDR) requirements and complaint investigations
  • Manages refurbishment services with suppliers and processes POs and delivery of refurbishments services
  • Develops and achieves service, quality and productivity goals for vaporizers
  • Develops management reporting of key metrics

Supply Chain & Distribution:
  • Lead the inbound and outbound logistics, brokerage, customs, warehouse, and distribution functions to ensure an efficient, reliable and rapid response to manufacturing requirements for materials as well as the storage and delivery of anesthetic pharmaceutical products and devices.
  • Directs the Bethlehem Logistics and Warehouse operations
  • Manage the variable and fixed Supply Chain budgets.
  • Manage distribution of all products produce in the USA
  • Identify, develop, and implement Supply Chain cost savings projects.
  • Supervise day to day actives with US 3PL and Bethlehem Distribution
  • Responsibility for managing 3PL relationships in the USA.
  • Ensure compliance with all logistical regulations including VAWD, DOT, IATA, GMP, GDP, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a warehousing plan to continually optimize warehousing facilities

Education/Experience
  • Associate degree with focus in Business, IT, Finance, Supply Chain or related field required or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years demonstrated ability and proven success in a role focused Operations, Supply Chain, Asset Management, or Contract Management, including one to three years of direct people management experience. APICS certified planner preferred
  • Inventory Management experience required
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project; advanced Excel experience including advanced formulas required
  • Experience using SAP SD or MM modules strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Quality and other internal/external stakeholders to lead projects to promote process improvement and operational efficiency
