Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with education in technology and a minimum of four years of experience in technical writing. The Senior Technical Writer will play a key role in creating comprehensive documentation for our software products, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all written materials.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand product features and functionalities.
Plan, research, write, and edit a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, troubleshooting guides, API documentation.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Organize and maintain documentation repositories, ensuring that all documentation is up to date, organized, and easily accessible to internal teams and clients.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing documentation to identify areas for improvement and update content as needed.
Work closely with the product leaders, engineers, and non-technical users to test documentation for accuracy, completeness, and usability.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and trends in technical writing and incorporate new tools and methodologies into the documentation process.
Learn new tools and technical concepts on an ongoing basis through independent research and expert interviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum of four years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on software documentation.
Public portfolio of technical writing samples including technical articles or non-technical user guides/manuals.
Strong understanding of software development processes and experience with product implementation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience delivering documentation in an Agile environment using JIRA, Confluence, and Google Docs.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and
effectively.
