Position Overview

The Director of Finance at Augmentjobs will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the company. This position is responsible for developing financial strategies, managing financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Director of Finance will work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Develop and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
    • Analyze financial data and performance to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Financial Management:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define financial goals and strategies.
    • Oversee cash flow management, investment decisions, and financial risk assessments.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
    • Manage external audits and coordinate with regulatory bodies.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of finance staff.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
    • Enhance reporting tools and financial models to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, including investors, board members, and senior management.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auditors, bankers, and financial advisors.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • CPA or MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
    • 2 to 5 years of experience in financial management or a related role.
    • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking:
