Job Title: QA Test Lead (Manual)

Location: McLean, VA (3 Days Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced QA Test Lead (Manual). In this role, you'll be responsible for leading manual testing efforts, ensuring the quality of software applications by identifying bugs, defects, and issues before they go live. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to deliver high-quality products that meet client standards.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage manual testing efforts for multiple projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.

- Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure thorough testing of software applications.

- Ensure all test processes, plans, and documentation are kept up-to-date and align with best practices.

- Conduct end-to-end functional, regression, and system testing across web and mobile applications.

- Lead the coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders and business users.

- Mentor and guide junior QA team members and provide technical leadership within the QA team.

- Provide status reports and recommendations based on testing outcomes to stakeholders.

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience creating detailed and well-structured test cases, plans, and reports.

- Proficient in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Excellent understanding of QA processes in an Agile development environment.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Proven ability to mentor and lead a team of testers.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

- Experience testing financial services or banking applications.

- Familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium or TestNG (even if primarily focused on manual testing).
