Financial Analyst

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will be responsible for testing internal controls over financial reporting in support of MAR and SOX requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates development of technical and analytical skills to understand business processes, identify or interpret the associated financial reporting risks and controls, testing approach, and propose solutions.
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement.
• Completes documentation, including testing templates, working papers, and accumulation of evidential matter, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports.
• Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators.
• Monitors changes in business processes and systems to ensure timely updating of control documentation to mitigate applicable risks.
• Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, Business or equivalent experience
• 1 - 3 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel. Python experience a plus.
• Internal Audit or Big 4 experience is a plus.
