Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for leadership, strategy, tactics and security related to Streck IT and its role in supporting the current and future requirements of the business. Will partner as appropriate with colleagues across the Company on technology-related initiatives. Responsible for the ongoing reliability, security, support, and development of all the Company s information systems and the practical application of information technologies. Responsible for leading and developing the IT Department. Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the CFO or CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Leads the Streck IT department.
  2. Oversees IT leaders managing systems development and service projects; ensures the work is aligned with the current goals and future needs of the Company through active management of group projects and activities.
  3. Plans and controls departmental staffing, succession planning, and professional development for IT employees.
  4. Creates and administers departmental budgets; leverages IT vendor/supplier relationships and manages contracts to realize economies of scale.
  5. Oversees the acquisition, development, maintenance, and disposition of all information systems hardware and software.
  6. Responsible for the security and integrity of the Company s information processing systems and data.
  7. Implements policies, procedures, and standards to foster an information technology environment that is structured in terms of system stability and data integrity, flexible as it relates to short-term needs, with an emphasis on a long-term view of platforms, infrastructure and training.
  8. Ensures compliance with governmental regulations that apply to system operations.
  9. Acts as the primary consultant and resource to senior management on new and changing developments in the field of information technology, anticipating potential organizational modifications needed.
  10. Supports the business through project idea formulation and business case preparation for submission to the CFO or Executive Team, as appropriate, providing IT-related input.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related area or an associate degree plus applicable work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience in roles of management responsibility that demonstrate an understanding of corporate work environments, information technology and business strategies.
  • Experience with systems planning/operations, infrastructure planning, security and project management.
  • Ability to conceptualize longer term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills in both business and technical environments, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all types of management, staff, and users.

Technical Competencies:

  • Ability to analyze complex technology problems and develop recommendations and solutions that are understood in business terms
  • Strong skills in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of multi-vendor computing environments
  • Skilled in needs assessment, facilitation of project implementation and organizational change or development
  • Understanding of latest technology trends and systems, and demonstrated ability to maintain understanding
  • Demonstrated competencies in support of business strategy and leadership

Work Environment/Travel Demands:

The worker is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in a typical office or administrative work environment). Travel demands for this position are estimated up to 5%. If travel is required, this travel may include customer visits, events/trade shows, and completion of presentations primarily throughout Domestic US or International regions. Employees must comply with all travel recommendations regarding safe travel according to company policies and guidelines, and all federal, state, local, and international orders.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Expressing and receiving detailed information through written and oral communication. Also has an ability to make sound, appropriate, and prompt decisions within the guidelines of the role.
