Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Akron, Ohio. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on critical high-voltage transmission projects, contributing to the growth of energy infrastructure across the U.S.

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the project management team in overseeing the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission engineering projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing all phases of high-voltage transmission projects, from conception through to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Support the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Assist in coordinating communications between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting project updates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in the high-voltage transmission engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required).
