Sharepoint Architect

We are seeking a SharePoint Technical Architect to oversee the technical components of a corporate intranet migration to Microsoft 365 from an on-premises SharePoint 2013 environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a designated consulting partner to ensure that technical strategies, development methodologies, and implementation processes adhere to company standards and best practices. This role requires innovative thinking to address complex challenges while working closely with various IT department leaders.

The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of business requirements and their impact on technical solutions, facilitating sustainable evolution and enhancements. A strategic mindset is crucial for the success of this project.

Additionally, the individual will engage with business teams and key decision-makers across the organization to identify, recommend, and implement leading technology solutions. Responsibilities include defining and establishing enterprise IT policies, procedures, and best practices related to supported services and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural and technical direction to the consulting partner, covering everything from design specifications to code-level implementation to achieve optimal solutions.
• Exhibit strong writing and communication skills for management-level presentations.
• Demonstrate ownership and leadership with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders informed of progress through effective communication.
• Apply agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to established design standards, methods, and tools, including the prototyping of new applications and tools as necessary.
• Maintain a strong understanding of multi-cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) along with security and compliance standards.
• Mentor and coach junior team members through performance management and collaborative efforts.
• Showcase proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
• Exhibit strong technical leadership capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of experience in technical architecture or programming with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 architecture, Azure AD, Azure functions, Microsoft Power Platform, LDAP, and complex enterprise integration.
• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and building applications for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
• Proficiency in advanced PnP framework/web parts, SPFx custom web parts, PowerShell, JSON, .NET, XML, JavaScript, CSS, and SharePoint APIs.
• Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing intranet platforms focused on digital transformation.
• Proven track record of managing complex technical projects and leading teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Essential strategic thinking abilities.
• Successful experience in leading technical efforts with external consulting partners.
