Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advocate for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring an empathetic and efficient experience.
- Assist patients in accessing their therapies and connecting them with vital support services.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals.
- Facilitate the completion and submission of all necessary program applications and paperwork.
- Provide expert guidance on reimbursement-related activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and internal teams to secure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while handling sensitive information.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare environment, such as specialty pharmacy, medical insurance, or a physician's office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task, adapt to shifting priorities, and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and familiarity with pharmacy and medical benefits.
- Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Customer-centric approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
