Job Title: AI/ML Research Engineer (AI/ML R&D for Digital Health)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop AI/ML models and algorithms for biological signals processing and classification.

· Develop machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications and systems for the electrocardiogram (ECG) data analysis and processing such as detection and classification of arrhythmias and ectopic heartbeats.

· Provide the performance data, workflow diagram, data statistics, etc. for FDA documentation.

· Identify differences in data distribution that could potentially affect model performance.

· New product development such as cardiovascular disease modeling.

· Stay up to date with developments in the industry.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree and above in mathematics, computer science, or related technical fields with a solid grounding in data science and AI/ML modeling fundamentals.

- Extensive mathematics and computer skills, with a deep understanding of statistics, and algorithms.

- In-depth experience with Python and related ML/DL libraries like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.

- Knowledge of statistical and biological signal analysis and processing packages is a plus.

- Have an innate technical curiosity and strong communication skills.

- Comfortable working in both a fast-paced and rigorous early-stage startup in AI-driven digital health.

- Able to work under minimal supervision, and able to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

Preferred Qualification:

- Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field.

- Experience with Amazon AWS services.

- Solid background in signal processing, ECG or other physiological signal processing.

- Proven experience as an AI/ML engineer or data scientist or similar role in two years or above.
