Job Title: Machine Shop - Components Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic machine shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and tooling.
  • Experience with CNC programming is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a machine shop setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Shift Schedule

We are hiring for:

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday from 5:00 am – 3:30 pm.
  • This position may require extended daily and overtime hours to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Overtime is based on business needs.
