Title: UX Designer

Duration: Long Term Contract

Location: Hybrid 3 days per week Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (Office close to Irving)

This role seeks an experienced user experience (UX) professional with strong skills in visual design, research, and project management. Key abilities required include working independently, managing complex products, and creating outstanding designs.

Design Responsibilities

  • Develop the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications.
  • Create conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
  • Maintain and update detailed design specifications and patterns.

Information Architecture Responsibilities

  • Translate rules and assets into structured UX systems and solutions.
  • Prepare and update UX documentation (navigational flows, wireframes, mock-ups, use cases, task flows, prototypes, content, etc.).
  • Advocate for users by collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure features and flows meet user needs.

UX Research Responsibilities

  • Develop research strategies aligned with project KPIs and create usability test plans.
  • Conduct various research techniques, including heuristic reviews, user interviews, and remote or in-person testing, to evaluate ease-of-use.
  • Design, schedule, and moderate usability studies and user interviews to gather feedback.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Provide regular status reports, highlighting remaining tasks, issues, and risks.
  • Manage all necessary communications, including negotiations with stakeholders, to ensure project completion.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as UX, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Visual Design), or equivalent experience or training.
  • At least three years of experience in UX, interaction design, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC).
  • Experience working closely with developers in an agile environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex data problems.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines, teams, and geographical/time zones.
  • Knowledge of remote testing tools and various research methods.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and trends in web and app design.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and create detailed wireframes for complex systems.
  • Experience in responsive, adaptive, and accessible design.

Preferred candidates will have a master's degree and five or more years of experience in the field, with a strong background in UX and interaction design.
