This is a hands-on role that will work with cross functional teams, offering exposure to custom product design, technical client meetings, process development, quality assurance, product manufacturability and development.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product manufacturability
- Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to identify and support opportunities to reduce costs, and improve productivity and throughput
- Assist with technical client meetings detailing design specifications, manufacturing feasibility and provide technical insights.
- Identify optimum manufacturing processes and raw material usage.
- Investigate and resolve production and quality issues or concerns
- Improve the accuracy of production standards (time study, standard data development)
- Administer time studies to improve or develop production standards
- Support product development from concept to production, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal capabilities
- Interface with suppliers and external partners to ensure material availability and quality for production needs.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial
- 1+ years experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with product design; concept to delivery preferred
- Systems: AutoCAD, Creo
