Associate Data Scientist (Provider Informatics)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an Associate Data Scientist (Provider Informatics).

Responsibilities:
* Support Patient First Initiative data structure, modeling, and logic validation
* The Associate Data Scientist collaborates with Data Scientists and Analysts in data preparation, model creation, and report generation
* Works with large structured and unstructured data sets, showing ability to translate business goals into quantitative metrics; Maps business needs to analytics planning and technical requirements
* Analyzes and interprets qualitative data (research/feedback) and incorporates insights into quantitative analyses
* Identifies opportunities to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, streamline, and add measurable insights
* Gathers and interprets data and information from difference sources, using strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems
* Clearly and concisely presents issues, analytical planning, and provides recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats among stakeholders
* Frequent, advanced usage of technical data extraction, manipulation, analysis, automation, and/or visualization tools
* The Associate Data Scientist collaborates with teammates and serves as a technical go-to

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of health care experience required
* Solid understanding and knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, provider reimbursement methodologies, and provider incentive systems required
* Claims based experience in SAS, SQL, and Tableau
* Ability to communicate and present to various types of audiences, internally and externally, including technical and senior management levels with some support
* Creative problem-solving skills
* Advanced Project Management skills
* Provide strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in matrix environment
* Ability to work independently, results oriented, and flexibility with new or varied responsibilities
* Act as a project lead, provide guidance to more junior team members, and influence others
* Demonstrated strength in building complex analytical models; demonstrated understanding of provider rate development
* Intermediate to advanced ability in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
* Intermediate to advanced ability in SAS/SQL and Tableau
* Understanding of statistical methods and data interoperability is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
