Job Details:

JOB TITLE: Willow/Pharmacy Analyst

CONTRACT DURATION: 26 weeks

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 8:00am 5pm

WEEKEND REQUIREMENT: Yes, on call as needed

LOCATION: Fully Remote

ONBOARDING TIME: Expect 1-3 weeks from offer acceptance to start date.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Utilizes knowledge of medications and pharmacy workflows to troubleshoot high complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management
    and leadership. Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis.
  • Acts as a consultant to healthcare professionals regarding utilization of pharmaceutical therapies and participates in
  • Network committees and quality improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Provides education and support for the implementation of projects, programs and pharmacy initiatives (i.e. automation, clinical monitoring, patient education, etc.).
  • Serves as a preceptor for pharmacy informatics students. Actively participates in the education and training of new pharmacy employees, pharmacy students and pharmacy interns
  • Utilizes the appropriate analytic tools and process improvement techniques to assess and improve medication-use processes.
  • Assesses published literature and/or database sources to identify best practices and/or guidelines relevant to appropriate medication-use and identifies opportunities for pharmaceutical related changes.
  • Analyze business operations as they relate to design decisions and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system. On an as needed basis, performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other
    technical issues associated with the use of integrated applications with minimal assistance
  • Design, test, implement and support files/systems within assigned products and scope with minimal supervision.
  • Populates tables and databases, for a domain with multiple owners, with some assistance from Vendor and Information Technology staff. Collaborates in an integrated approach to eliminate the potential for a negative impact toour customers and patients.
    - Responsible for maintaining set standards of application system build and database maintenance. Including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases. Assists with recommendations for standardized naming, numbering and security conventions.
  • Mentors others in acquiring knowledge and provides expert advice.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method. Acts as liaison between work teams and departments.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage individual workload. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with all levels of stakeholders to prioritize needs, set expectations and brings new functionality/design for review.
  • Facilitates work groups to successfully drive outcomes that deliver best practice, optimal workflows with high adoption, effective utilization of standard platforms and network standardization.
  • Assists with the change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, established by the Information Technology Department and Project Management Office for maintenance, requests and new initiatives.
  • Will lead moderate to high complexity projects as assigned.
  • Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives.
  • Understands and follows established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes.
  • Can clearly demonstrate and teach the Change Control process to new or less experienced analysts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with HonorHealth policies and procedures in addition to the Mission,Vision and Values.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required

  • Certification in Willow Inpatient.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Sciences from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
  • 5+ years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial

Preferred:

    • Pharm D. , Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
    • 8+ years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial

  • Copy of diploma for highest level of completed education.
  • Two manager/supervisor references who you have worked with in the last two years.
