Change and Project Management Business Manager

The Change and Project Mgt Business Manager is responsible for assisting the Director, Enterprise Change and Project Management with running the daily business operations of the team and plays a key role in crafting strategies and researching best in class practices to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently. Some of the functions this role will lead include:
  • Designing, analyzing, and reporting on workforce utilization and resource allocation.
  • Developing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other metrics both for internal use to manage the team as well as reporting to senior leadership.
  • Leading the communication strategy and messaging to educate and inform key stakeholders on Project and Change Mgt activities and outcomes.
  • Reviews, provides recommendations, and oversees all vendors and managed service providers for Change and Project Mgt dept partnering with Procurement.
  • Advises on current business operations as well as future trends that are relevant to the team's goals and evolving needs.
  • Partners with Finance on managing all aspects of financial management, including the budget process and the project financials.

Position Responsibilities:

Operations Strategy
  • Partner with leadership to develop, effectively communicate and implement strategic and tactical plans to deliver Change and Project management services that meet corporate objectives.
  • Synthesize inputs from the team to help shape and craft strategies as well as assist in execution of associated actions.
  • Benchmark performance against peers to identify opportunities to improve service effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Design reporting for workforce utilization and resource allocation to assist leaders in running their operation.
  • Develop KPIs and other metrics to manage team effectiveness.
  • Lead the communication strategy and messaging to educate and inform key stakeholders on activities and outcomes.
  • Review, provide recommendations and oversee all vendors and managed service providers partnering with Procurement.

Operations Management
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance to maximize workforce efficiency including monitoring open headcount and contingent labor.
  • Analyze KPIs and provide data in a way to help managers lead their operational teams.
  • Provide summaries and recommendations based on the data.
  • Develop effective communication vehicles and messaging to educate and inform key stakeholders on activities and outcomes.
  • Create presentations including synthesizing information, utilizing storytelling, and developing information specifically for the needs of the audience.
  • Provide analytical support on various topics.
  • Identify solutions, provide guidance and support on initiatives that span across divisions.
  • Work with senior officers to establish goals, policies and procedures and offer assistance as needed.

Relationship Management
  • Build critical alliances with key business partners and effectively interact with key consituents.
  • Establish a structured method to collect and analyze client satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Key contact for those within and outside of Change and Project Management trying to find resolution to various issues and work with them to navigate the organizational structure.
  • Provide overall support for team meeting agendas and materials, communications, presentations, townhalls, SharePoint page, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide an additional effective line of communication for colleagues to provide ideas and suggestions. Explore viability of various ideas.

Financial and Risk Management
  • Partner with Finance to manage the financials of change and project management with attention to the details of planning and budgets while exhibiting cost discipline.
  • Ongoing operations efficiency should be standard practice and reflected in the financials and budgets annually.
  • Support the creation and monitoring of risk management practices to ensure an effective internal control environment as well as compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR High School diploma/GED and 6 years of Business strategy, Change and/or Project Management Experience
  • 8 years of experience in Change and/or Project Management
  • 8 years of demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple requests and obligations to facilitate a smooth, organized workflow, while achieving committed results on time.
  • 5 years of experience in creating and executing strategic initiatives
  • 5 years of experience in excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with senior stakeholders internal and external and to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understate messages.
  • 5 years of experience in creating, managing, and reporting on key performance metrics
  • Preferred experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations in a regulatory environment


Work Best Category:
Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days

Hours:
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
