We are seeking to hire an Oracle SOA Architect to join our team working on a new multi-year award we have within a large Federal Gov t Agency in Washington, DC. This role is 100% remote.

Being a US Cit is REQUIRED for passing the Security Clearance to work on this program (ability to pass Public Trust at minimum).

This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).

An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

SOA Architect:

SOA architect with demonstrated proficiency in the mechanics of SOA through the physical design of service-oriented technology architectures, service-oriented solutions, and related infrastructure. Must possess the ability to understand the entire business strategies and be able to dive deeply into technology issues in order to define comprehensive solutions to suit the client business needs. Candidate must possess experience in the different forms of service-oriented technologies including the dependencies that exist between the different architectural levels, as well as maximizing the middleware tier. Experience working with the customer and end users to define application and technical requirements as it relates to integration solution.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in a SOA architect role
  • Thorough understanding of the service-orientation design paradigm
  • Proficiency in the design of service-oriented architectures and related infrastructure
  • Hands on experience developing secure, scalable, operable solutions using the Oracle middleware suite including SOA suite, OSB, BAM, Weblogic application server etc
  • Proficient in defining and development of the interfaces/services following the open source standards of SOAP, REST, XML, HTTP WSDL etc.
  • Experience setting architecture direction for application development teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud deployments of service-oriented solution Or Oracle integration cloud
  • Knowledge of JAVA/J2EE preferred
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum.
  • Certification in the Oracle middleware suite
