Position Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Research and Development (R&D) to lead our team in developing cutting-edge financial technology solutions for our Customers. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in emerging technologies, exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of microservices architecture, and proven expertise in managing large teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic R&D roadmap to drive innovation and maintain the company's competitive edge in the Fintech market.
  • Lead a cross-functional R&D team in designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions, utilizing micro service, cloud engineering, and containerized technologies.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, industry trends, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and guide the R&D team's priorities.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the R&D team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align R&D efforts with business goals.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay current on industry trends and technologies to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the R&D function and the company's technological capabilities to external stakeholders, including partners, investors, and industry influencers.

Qualifications/ Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in leading R&D teams in the Fintech or financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and deployment on cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large, cross-functional teams and delivering complex, technology-driven projects.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and standards in the industry, ensuring R&D activities comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
