Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and optimize our data storage and processing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), strong SQL skills, and proficiency in Python, Go, Java scripting. This role will involve building efficient data pipelines, managing cloud-based data warehouses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and transformation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataStream.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support data processing and analysis.
  • Develop data orchestration and transformation workflows using tools like Airflow, Pub/Sub, FiveTran, DBT, and other ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure smooth, real-time data flow between systems.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop efficient solutions.
  • Manage, monitor, and optimize databases using systems like Postgres, BigQuery, or SQL Server to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Design and implement data warehouse models that facilitate effective reporting and analytics.
  • Collect, process, and analyze user event data using tools like Firebase, GA4, and similar platforms.
  • Use Python, Go, or Java to script and automate data-related tasks.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and quality across all systems.
  • Provide technical support for JIRA, GitLab, Amplitude, Backstage, Notion, and other related tools.
  • Create clear documentation of data systems, workflows, and models using tools like LucidChart.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering and working with data warehouses.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataStream, or other similar cloud platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries and perform performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or other general-purpose programming languages.
  • Experience with analytics tools like Tableau or other BI tools.
  • Experience with data orchestration and transformation tools like Airflow, Pub/Sub, FiveTran, and DBT.
  • Experience managing databases like Postgres, BigQuery, or SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of user event data collection tools such as Firebase or GA4.
  • Experience with data warehousing modeling and design fundamentals.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complex processes.
