Role Overview:

The Corporate Development Analyst at Enfinite is a key member of the Corporate Strategy team. This role involves conducting in-depth financial analysis for various corporate functions, including operating portfolio performance, financial scenario analysis, and supporting cross-departmental growth. The Analyst will work closely with different teams to provide insights and support strategic decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis and Valuation
    • Update and maintain economic models of existing Enfinite assets
    • Prepare ad-hoc valuation assessment tools and summaries for decision making
    • Annual impairment analysis in support of the annual financial audit
  • Scenario Analysis
    • Support corporate forecasting by validating budgets and forecasts against the existing corporate valuation model
    • Conduct financial analysis on proposed capital projects
    • Work closely with the Markets team to support regulatory financial analysis and decision making
  • Development
    • As required, support business development in the creation of economic models
    • Working with Development, provide analysis on the impact of proposed development in relation to the corporate valuation
  • Evaluation, Analysis, and Reporting
    • Support in the preparation of financial analysis for investment decisions and board presentations
    • Work with commercial and development teams to support understanding of Canadian electricity market outlooks
    • Perform ah-hoc analysis as required

Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years of direct financial modelling experience in Valuations, Corporate Development, or Corporate Planning
  • Advanced Excel skills supported by developing understanding of valuation techniques and financial metrics
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at various stages
  • Ability to translate complex financial, contractual information and other data points into financial models
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
  • Willingness to continue learning and adaptable in supporting Enfinite s position in evolving power markets
