The Director of Marketing & Events at HiTouch Enterprises is responsible for leading the company’s marketing strategy and overseeing the successful execution of client events. This role involves managing the marketing and events teams, ensuring all projects align with HiTouch’s vision and meet client expectations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director will play a pivotal role in both internal decision-making and client-facing operations. This position requires a dynamic leader with the ability to guide creative direction while maintaining strong operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Oversee corporate and client marketing efforts as the Creative Director, shaping both internal and external branding and marketing initiatives.
  • Team Management: Lead the Event Project Managers and Marketing Team, providing direction and support to ensure the successful completion of all campaigns and events.
  • Collaboration with the CEO: Work closely with the CEO to align the company's marketing and event strategy with HiTouch’s business goals. The CEO will focus on growing the business portfolio and providing strategic input on event logistics.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, including the Administration Team, which will continue to report to the CEO, to ensure seamless operations across the company.

Project Management Responsibilities:

In addition to your leadership duties, you will fulfill project management responsibilities, with the authority to delegate tasks as necessary. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Client Operations: Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned client projects, ensuring that timelines are met and deliverables are on track.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, attending all meetings, creating agendas, and developing actionable follow-up plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Delegate tasks to team members and manage workloads using Harvest, Nimble, Trello, Slack, or other project management tools to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Process Improvement: Propose and implement new ideas to improve planning and execution processes, always aiming to exceed client expectations.
  • Event Oversight: Create and manage detailed timelines and run-of-show documents for all client events, ensuring proper staffing through coordination with the Event Staffing Manager.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project finances, ensuring timely payments to vendors and subcontractors, and maintain accountability for project budgets.
  • Client and Event Strategy: Focus on achieving fundraising, attendance, and marketing goals for all client events, ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
  • Event Execution: Attend all client events where you are the designated Project Manager. If unavailable, coordinate with the CEO to ensure adequate event coverage and management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing or events, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading successful marketing campaigns and large-scale events.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in creating and executing marketing and event plans.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Harvest, Trello, Slack, etc.).
  • Experience with budget management and delivering projects on time and within scope.

Technical:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and CRM software.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite to include google sheets, google docs, google drive and google forms.
  • Familiarity with event management tools is a plus.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Understanding of event production and marketing trends.
