Job Description

As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will champion the use of information and technology in overall enterprise business strategy development and design. The CIO will primarily be responsible for aligning the IT roadmap to the strategic initiatives, ensuring the prioritization, risk management and leadership to deliver on the expected business results, as well as ensuring sustainment. He/she will provide global IT leadership by establishing the IT strategy, objectives, plans, and priorities that support the overall company strategies. The CIO reports to the COO and leads the IT team, refining and implementing a strategic technology plan.

Responsibilities:

  • The CIO has overall responsibility and accountability for the people, processes, data security and technology that make up IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity.
  • Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence the adoption of modern IT capabilities which enable new sources of value. Proactively lead business stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals; develop a culture of engagement through coaching and mentoring; successfully translate business requirements into team deliverables, individual goals, and objectives.
  • Partners with the COO and finance department ensuring stellar supplier management of all IT vendors and working with indirect procurement associates, negotiate effective contracts for software, services, and other tools.
  • Selects and implements suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Designs and customizes technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
  • Plans the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.
  • Oversees the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years having overseen multiple functions within Information Technology in a fast-paced, global multi-site organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT strategic planning, organization design, leadership, development, and operational management.
  • Outstanding leadership and strategic thinking skills with strong ability to effectively create and communicate the IT vision and inspire and motivate IT staff.
  • Effective influence and negotiation skills within IT and with business partners.
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management of IT.
  • Ability to drive organizational change within and beyond IT functions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Expertise with Information Security and Privacy practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology to business leaders, Board members, and others not immersed within the technology world.
