(The screening will be run after a Work Order has been in place and it includes a review of candidates soft credit check and a personal disclosure form. Candidates can typically start training within two weeks of selection and while the Public Trust is in process) Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer/Architect to join our dynamic web application development team. In this role, you will enhance our Salesforce platform, which includes CRM, Knowledge Management, and Public Portal, using both out-of-the-box features and custom development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Agile Development Leadership: Manage development activities within an agile team, mentor staff and consultants, and ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organizational goals and translate them into Salesforce initiatives.
  • Salesforce Environment Management: Continuously refine and develop our Salesforce environment to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Technical Development: Perform hands-on Salesforce development, focusing on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Requirements Analysis: Work with team members to analyze business requirements and create customized Salesforce solutions.
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and automation tools.
  • Code Reviews and Best Practices: Implement Salesforce solutions following best practices and conduct peer code reviews.
  • Development Support: Assist with the entire development process from design to deployment, including quality testing and troubleshooting.
  • Post-Delivery Support: Work with client teams to support live applications and ensure successful knowledge transfer.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Salesforce releases and industry trends, recommending optimizations and automation opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field with 8+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certification: Salesforce Platform Developer I.
  • Experience:
    • Deep understanding of the Salesforce data model and best practices.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce programming languages: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components.
    • Web application development skills (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5).
    • Experience with Lightning Component development and the Lightning Design System.
    • Familiarity with declarative Force.com development tools (e.g., Process Builder, Visual Workflow).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer II, App Builder, Administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability to work East Coast hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET).
