Congressional School, an independent day school for Infants - 8th grade students in Falls Church, VA, has a late Spring opening for an Auxiliary Programs Associate. The Auxiliary Programs Associate is a versatile role that supports the development, implementation, and oversight of Congressional's summer program, extended hours program, co-curricular programs, school store and other non-tuition revenue-generating programs in a wide variety of ways. The Auxiliary Programs Associate will ensure that all programs offer fun, safe, and enriching opportunities for students that align with Congressional' s vision, mission, and values. The Auxiliary Programs Associate will work hands on with a diverse group of administrators and staff, and support a campus-wide approach. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

- Manage Camp Communications via a variety of platforms both email, social media, website, phone and other mediums
- Manage Seasonal Camp Recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, training, and placement, as well as ongoing scheduling and assignments through the summer.
- Manage payroll for Seasonal Staff (and after school staff)
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective and returning camp families.
- Direct and support Extended Hours Program (after-school) staff Monday-Friday, 3:00 to 6:00 PM and occasional weekends
- Serve as a member of Summer Camp Seasonal Leadership Team as Camp Coordinator
- Support Camp website and social media campaigns
- Assist with documentation for compliance with the American Camp Association, local and state licensing requirements
- Develop Camp, enrichment, recreational, and after-school activities
- Support and assist in formulating auxiliary program policies and procedures
- Support School Store operations assisting in retail sales in-person and online, quality control, marketing, and recording and reporting sales, billing, and inventory control.
- Work closely with parents, administration, and faculty to address the needs of individual students enrolled in after-school programs.
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Elementary Education, or Early Childhood Development is preferred
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, education, camp administration, recreational management or a related field preferred
- Strong multi-tasking skills, while maintaining an attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability and experience in creating, administering, supervising and implementing programs for students and campers
- Proficiency in Excel, database systems, social media, and other technology tools
- Previous experience in administering, recruiting teams and staff is a plus.
