KSAT is the world leader in ground station communications based in the high north of Troms, Norway. We are the world s largest supplier of services for telemetry, tasking, and control (TT&C) and data acquisition from non-geostationary satellites. Founded in 1968, KSAT has grown to approximately 400 employees and $120M in annual revenue. KSAT Inc (aka. KSAT US) accounts for roughly 50% of global revenue and is based in Denver, CO.

We are looking for a junior to mid-level professional looking to expand and grow their experience capturing business within the government and defence markets. The Business Development Manager will build relationships with new and existing customers while developing solutions to meet the needs of the government. As a developing market and capability for KSAT, this self-driven individual will assess new leads and conduct market research to identify trends and develop company capture strategy. This Business Development Manager will be integrated into the larger BD team in the Denver office and participate in normal BD functions to include pipeline management (CRM), reporting, revenue forecasting, and contract closure.

While the KSAT Inc team is intrinsically part of the greater KSAT organization, this role will focus and work primarily with project teams sitting in the Denver office. As such, this role will be local to the greater Denver region with hybrid remote/in-office opportunities. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Details of the Role and Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and lead business development operations associated with new opportunities within the emerging defence market.
  • Manage BD pipeline of multiple opportunities with long sales cycles (4-18 months) leveraging company provided CRM tool.
  • Respond to customer issued RFPs and write proposals in response to customer inquiries/solicitations.
  • Develop technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Contribute to company strategy planning to drive new capability development.
  • Conduct price analysis and competitive assessments to develop winning solutions.
  • Interface with active/prospective customers on new missions/programs which could leverage KSAT service offerings.
  • Work closely with project teams to drive execution and meet mission milestones.

Compensation: Target compensation for this role is $95k - $120k plus discretionary annual bonus (up to 16%)
