Purpose:

You will help us reinvent reporting and monitoring using Splunk capabilities to improve visibility and usability. As an Information Systems Engineer, you will participate in all tasks required to maintain application availability, responsiveness, and complete functional requirements. You will Identify and complete work to improve application maintainability, availability, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the requirements and help in proposing solution using Splunk frameworks
  • Design and Develop Splunk Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, reports and applications.
  • CICD pipeline to automate Splunk deployments and config management.
  • Ability to administrate and maintain multisite Splunk environments.
  • Manage Splunk users and roles at a large scale.
  • Develop a solution with proof or concepts and use case for different business scenarios.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users as appropriate.
  • Perform deployments of Splunk configurations to support data onboarding and other maintenance/upgrade activities.
  • Create and maintain configuration documentation for all assigned systems using Enterprise Architect and Visio.
  • Complete assignments in a work request queue in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call support for 24x7 production environments and after hours support as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Troubleshoot Splunk applications including web, client-server, and database components, and experience in identify networking issues is highly desired
  • Highly proficient in Splunk administration experience
  • Highly proficient in Solaris & Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Highly proficient in SPL and creating Reports/Dashboards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and to learn new skills.
  • Proven ability to individually manage work while multitasking.
  • Highly energetic with a positive attitude with a keen focus on quality deliverables
  • SQL development, write SQL, PLSQL, table joins and proficiency with MS SQL, MySQL Postgres, and Oracle database servers.
  • Experience developing in Java, Python, and Perl
  • Hands-on JavaScript/CSS experience.
  • Proficient in SPL and creating Reports/Dashboards.
  • Proficient with SDLC methods and automation tools
  • Wireless, Telecommunication, or Internet industry experiences a plus.
  • Cloud, especially AWS experiences is a plus

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology or related field.
  • 3-Year minimum experience directly supporting distributed applications in a UNIX environment.
