General Summary: The IT Support Specialist will serve as the point of contact for internal systems users to provide fast and efficient technical assistance on computer systems. This position will respond to queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to resolve them. This position will treat internal users as their customer and facilitate positive relationships through timely responses and prompt resolutions. The IT Support Specialist will perform remote troubleshooting, step-by-step walk through support and keep accurate records of issues and resolutions to help maintain and improve the overall IT health of the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions

  • Internal User Support:
  • Support all offices and employees with daily help-desk tasks
  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employee
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services

Internal Department Support:

  • Work with HR to ensure new employee accounts and devices are properly created, shipped, etc. prior to employee start dates; provide Branch Manager with any needed set up instructions for new users
  • Maintain appropriate Inventory Logs for business needs, this includes but is not limited to laptop devices, software licenses and program access
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions as relevant
  • Ensure that SOP's for tech devices are updated with any changes and properly messaged back to staff
  • Perform tasks not enumerated in the job description to ensure routine activities align with the company mission, goals, strategy, ONEBECI mindset and the annual initiative.
  • Projects as deemed appropriate and assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or Leadership Team.

Job Requirements:

  • Although you may be hired and assigned to report to a specific location, many of our internal user

and external clients are countrywide, so you must be willing and able to work out of town. This includes, but is not limited to, periods of staying out of town, travel on commercial airlines, traveling in rented vehicles, and staying in company provided lodging.

Agreeable and willing to work in an office environment, as well as, on sites as necessary to perform job responsibilities. While this position is intended to be primarily office based, the percentage of time working in the office and on sites can/will vary.
Ability to lift over 40 pounds, without assistance.

Authorized, with a current license from the DMV in the state you reside, to operate a motor vehicle, that may be company provided, rented, or personally owned.
Go above and beyond, when necessary. You are hired with the expectations of the work week being Monday-Friday with hours of 7:30 am 5:30 pm Monday Thursday and 7:30 am 11:30 am Friday; however, business needs/project assignments may dictate longer days. In this regard, we ask that you complete the task at hand in its entirety even if the hours exceed normal business hours.

Job Qualifications:

Education (required): Associates degree from an accredited university; preferably in computer science, information science, information systems or related field.
Certification (preferred):
Preferably COMP TIA-A+/Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google IT Certificate and shall be maintained throughout your employment.
Experience (required): Minimum of 1-3 years working in the information technology sector or applicable field and office environment.
Technical Expertise: Base Knowledge of Windows Operating System and general troubleshooting
Travel Expectation: 25-50% of the time to offices located across the country (Current offices in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, and Arizona, with growth potential on the East Coast and Southwest).
