Barri Money Services LLC DBA DolFinTech has an opening for a Network Security Engineer in Houston, Texas. Duties include:

  • Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of the system.
  • Configuring and implementing intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
  • Testing and checking the system for weaknesses in software and hardware.
  • Maintaining firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
  • Configuring and installing security infrastructure devices.
  • Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations.
  • Determining latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system.
  • Conducting Internal Audits, External Network Penetration Tests, and Risk Assessments.
  • Reporting the security analysis and monitoring findings.
  • Supervising the configuration and installation of new software and hardware.
  • Implementing regulatory systems in accordance with IT security Policies and Procedures.
  • Informing the company about the security incidents as soon as possible.
  • Modifying the technical and regulatory aspects of the system security.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and hardening of network switches and servers.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response of all platforms to ensure up-time and availability.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response to key partners and customers to address reported issues related to suspicious or potentially malicious activity.
  • Secure the products in accordance with Security Framework guidelines and industry best practices for system build configuration.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Provide on call support; after hours support may be required.

Requirements: Employer requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in network engineering, telecom engineering, computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or related IT field, and 36 months of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cybersecurity operations or in a related occupation. Experience must include:

  • 36 months of cybersecurity engineering or implementation experience.
  • 36 months of experience with firewalls and Wireless Access Points.
  • 36 months of experience with networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, DDoS, VOIP).
  • 36 months of experience with Telephony technologies.
  • 36 months of experience with security processes and documentation.
