Commercial Lead
Greater Toronto Area (hybrid position)
Job Summary
Our client, a dynamic Canadian specialty pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Commercial Lead to join their team. This role involves leading cross-functional efforts and directly managing sales and marketing teams for an expanding product portfolio. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be key in driving commercial success and meeting revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the commercial team of medical representatives and marketing managers, to surpass customer expectations and consistently achieve revenue goals.
  • Strategically plan and execute the successful launch of multiple new medications.
  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning, engage key opinion leaders, and effectively promote products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient management of the product life cycle, from launch through to lifecycle planning.
  • Oversee the business unit's P&L, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Perform in-depth risk assessments to identify and address potential challenges in the competitive landscape.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting collaboration and alignment to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, ideally in ADHD, pediatrics, or neuroscience/psychiatry.
  • Successful track record in launching branded medications in Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills with a talent for motivating and guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in digital marketing and utilizing digital channels for customer engagement is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and a results-driven approach.
  • Bilingual in English and French is a plus.
