Captivate Developer Contractor

Tipping Point Solutions is seeking an experienced highly motivated, collaborative, and creative professional for a Captivate Developer Contractor position. This position is contractor role. The Captivate Developer collaborates with other Courseware Developers and Instructional Designers, as well as assists subject matter experts, graphic artists, and multimedia developers to design cutting edge training solutions supporting classroom and online learning environments for the company s clients. Ideally, the Captivate Developer would be a web developer proficient with e-Learning.

Essential Job Functions:

• Author learning content in Adobe Captivate Classic (2019), Animate and/or Articulate Storyline by using course templates and following all development standards for color scheme, graphic design, and functionality
• Program learning content using JavaScript, HTML, and other programming languages and incorporating CSS templates to generate highly interactive and engaging online training
• Utilize scripting and occasional light coding to configure an integrated proprietary framework for slide layout and questions activities
• Distribute published learning content using various LMS platforms, including but not limited to JKO, ALMS, Blackboard, and Moodle
• Integrate premium film content into courseware interactions using project standards and based on guidance and direction from experienced developers
• Make edits and adjustments to interactive templates based on project standards
• Analyze and interpret storyboard documents to develop engaging courseware content

• Assist other Training and Education team members with conceptual design of new interactions
• Develop further understanding of eLearning development principles through collaboration with other experienced developers and programmers
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in web development, focusing on user experience (UX), responsive design, and accessibility to enhance the courseware's overall effectiveness
• Perform other related duties and assignments as assigned by supervisor/manager

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Simulation and Game Programming or related field of study
• 5+ years programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON scripting, and game development
• Knowledge and basic experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as: Adobe Captivate, Animate, Articulate Storyline, and/or SCORM compliant authoring tools

• Exposure to and basic knowledge of Section 508 compliant and SCORM 2004 conformant web-based solutions
• Understanding of developing interactivities, assets, and lessons
• Knowledge of Learning Management System workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

Desired Experience:

• Knowledge or basic experience with graphic media design tools such as: Photoshop and Illustrator.
