Opening / Selling Statement -

This contractor will conduct research on Meijer stores. This position will require travel to Meijer stores.
The UX Researcher will work with product teams to help develop user-centric designs that are testable and adaptable. This role will be self-directed and collaborative, using best practices for design testing, human factors, and cognitive psychology. The UX Researcher will work with the UX and UI Designers to create prototypes in Figma for user testing. The UX Researcher will meet with users to test designs and provide feedback to the team that is clear, concise, and actionable.

Job Duties -Responsibilities:


Work collaboratively with product owners, developers, and QA to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
Proactively review, refine, and recommend new user experience concepts across multiple web applications, web sites and mobile
Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing
Conduct user research and implement findings.

Job Requirements -Required Skills / Abilities:


Hands-on experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, prototype testing, concept testing, field research, and survey design
Experience with all aspects of research, including study design, recruiting, facilitation, analysis, reporting
Proficiency in UserZoom or other research platforms.
Good visual design skills that are showcased through a portfolio that demonstrates research plans and results.
Ability to present your findings and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
Ability to make strong recommendations based on industry trends, consumer research, business needs and technical feasibility/difficulty
Excellent communication (verbal and presentational) interpersonal skills along with the ability to collaborate across multiple business units
High performance under pressure and in adherence to deadlines with a quality output
Practical experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment desired
