Position Overview:

Lead the center of excellence for Demand Planning and drive progress for the strategic roadmap. This includes adopting new systems tools and processes including emerging technologies and APS systems (Advanced Planning and Scheduling). This role supports a matrix organization through project management and training to improve the forecasting and demand planning function. You will focus on benchmarking, internally and externally, to identify industry practices that enhance the Hunter Douglas demand planning process. Once developed and documented, this role will lead training across the organization and set performance indicators to ensure adherence. You will work closely with managers super users to consolidate multiple division's practices into a North American standard.

What you'll do

  • Manage operational excellence initiatives ranging from training to process system enhancements.
  • Document rules for process governance.
  • Providing targeted management support on key strategic initiatives.
  • Develop maturity path assessments and roadmaps for demand planning functions.
  • Lead projects in a matrix organization for program and process change roll outs, including software and tool updates.
  • Act as the functional expert and owner of key processes, influence and support other process leads.
  • Consult with process owners to standardize and develop level 3 to level 6 documentation (process flow to standard work).
  • Create opportunities to promote collaboration across forecasting and demand planning.
  • Establish and maintain the metrics and mechanisms to monitor performance and success.

  • Complete process audits and develop/monitor individual end users to ensure forecasting process adherence across the organization.
  • Use all available SAP forecasting capabilities to analyze materials data for the purpose of developing analytical tools.
  • All other responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience in a Supply Chain Planning and Demand Planning roles (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of ERP & forecasting systems (SAP and IBP preferred)
  • Management or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Process
  • Experience/ability to drive change through collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills must be able to relate to end users and IT.
  • Experience training and training software (PowerPoint).
