Description

Serves as a thought leader on growth opportunities to executive leadership team, defining commercial strategy and plans to capture new business improving the company’s portfolio.

This position has been identified as a key position with specific responsibilities, input, support and alignment with Click Bond’s Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS). The QEMS is the overall framework for the company’s policies and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Sets KPIs and annual initiatives for the commercial team with emphasis on the generation of profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Develops and implements the marketing and sales strategy in alignment with the companies’ goals.
  • Defines and implements the distribution and channel strategy, leading periodical business reviews with all the major partners.
  • Documents and communicates customer focus strategy in line with targeted markets and product applications.
  • Selects and deploys all marketing, sales, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools to administrate the companies’ book of business and pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Appoints and monitors the performance of global manufacturing representatives.
  • Sets guidelines and performance measures to align representatives’ contributions to commission spending.
  • Monitors business performance, market conditions, and customers’ behavior to generate an annual sales forecast.
  • Reviews and communicates changes to the forecast via the SIOP process.
  • Analyzes sales and marketing trends to formulate strategy, identify risks and prioritize initiatives.
  • Builds organizational capability by conducting performance evaluation, training, and identifying and recruiting new talents.
  • Leads all commercially related functions in the contract management process.
  • Visits key customers frequently to build string relationships, identify new opportunities, ensure the best service levels, and collect feedback.
  • Reviews customers’ score card to ensure timely and effective resolution of any nonconformance and ensure excellence of service levels.
  • Enables and supports commercial team with closing on important agreements and new business deals.
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote the brand and build a supporting network.
  • Conducts market analyses to determine customer needs, market price benchmark, then defines pricing strategy for optimum price realization.
  • Reviews business cases for the development of new products, changes to the existing portfolio or acquisition of new product lines.
  • Monitors the progress of the new business opportunity (NBO) pipeline in line with growth and vitality objectives.
  • Directs product rationalization and standardization to streamline operations and ensure profitability.
  • Delivers company and portfolio presentations to key customers, trade associations and industry representatives.
  • Coordinates liaison between the commercial team and all other company functions.
  • Sets annual department budget and then monitors and controls expenditures to stay within set objectives.
  • Prepares periodic status of the business reports, detailing product portfolio and key customers’ performance.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition to identify and communicate risks.
  • Ensures commercial compliance of the business in line with industry guidelines and market requirements.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of business unit leaders, including but not limited to executive leadership within sales and operations, and all other stakeholders.
  • Significant finance acumen with ability to understand operating budgets and finance.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  • Experience accurately forecasting short-term & long-term sales.
  • Successful background building and managing a sales term nationally and internationally.
  • Extensive experience in the aerospace industry with a deep understanding of adhesive components and defense applications.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing within aerospace, particularly in driving growth and profitability in the adhesive components sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing sales and marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Strong strategic vision and the capability to develop, align and execute organizational objectives and sales strategies.
  • Profound knowledge of sales and marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on the aerospace sector.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing campaigns to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
  • Skilled in understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities for business expansion and delivery tailored solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of adhesive components used in aerospace applications, including their specifications, performance requirements and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to align sales and marketing strategies with product development and production capabilities.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business administration, marketing, engineering or related field from an accredited four-year College or university.
  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales or sales management in the same or similar industry.
  • Ongoing professional development is required to stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies and regulatory changes.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position manages a subordinate supervisor who supervises management of outside and Inside Sales Departments and Non-supervisory employees in Marketing and Advertising.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
