  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Location: Remote, with quarterly travel to WI Salary: $170k + 10% (potential to go up to $175k)

Our Milwaukee-based client is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer to join their growing team! This role will focus on modernizing and re-architecting systems in AWS, working closely with Product Owners, Software Developers, and Quality Assurance Engineers.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions that address business challenges.
  • Play a key role in modernizing and re-architecting legacy systems in AWS.
  • Champion AWS best practices and mentor other engineers.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Self-manage workload to meet project deadlines and sprint goals.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
  • Support code deployments.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, particularly in a Cloud Native Environment.

What We re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in C#, SQL, JavaScript, .NET Framework / .NET Core.
  • Deep expertise in AWS Cloud Development.
  • Solid understanding of Agile practices, especially Scrum.
  • Experience with domain-driven design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Passionate about building high-quality systems using AWS best practices.

Bonus Skills (Wish List):

  • Continued education or advanced degrees.
  • Experience in SaaS, actuarial science, or insurance underwriting.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and/or PCI regulations.
  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) or AWS certifications.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • Background in rebuilding on-prem legacy applications in a modern AWS cloud environment.
