Role Overview: WPB Technical Lead

As the WPB Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading software development initiatives within the banking sector. Your deep technical expertise and leadership abilities will ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for guiding the technical team, managing complex projects, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Development Leadership: Lead a team of developers in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software applications, with a strong focus on banking domain requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize at least 8 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in technologies such as Angular 4+, CSS, HTML, Java, Javascript, JQuery, Linux/Unix, Spring, SQL, AWS, ReactJS, and Node.js.
  • Algorithm and Security Management: Implement algorithms and cybersecurity measures, ensuring the robustness and security of software solutions.
  • DevOps and Continuous Integration: Oversee DevOps practices, including Git management, REST/SOAP API development, debugging, and the use of analytics tools.
  • Banking Domain Knowledge: Apply your knowledge of the banking industry, with a focus on Broker-Dealer (Pershing) and SEI Wealth Platform, to guide development projects.
  • Agile Methodologies: Contribute to agile planning sessions, enforce agile practices, and lead the team in delivering iterative, high-quality software solutions.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Analyze complex problems, brainstorm solutions, and facilitate team discussions to drive consensus and effective decision-making.
  • Team Leadership and Engagement: Take ownership of projects, engage with team members, and foster a collaborative, feedback-rich environment.
  • Ethical and Responsible Leadership: Prioritize tasks, make ethical decisions, and delegate duties effectively, ensuring the team meets its objectives.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring that all project requirements are met.
Desired Skills:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in Finance: Prior experience with Broker-Dealer (Pershing) and SEI Wealth Platform is highly desirable.
  • Agile and DevOps Proficiency: Strong understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices, with experience in servant leadership and removing impediments for the team.
Compensation:
  • Full-Time Employee (FTE): $90,000 per annum
  • Contract to Hire (C2C): Up to $50 per hour
