We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on supporting and optimizing enterprise applications. This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical business applications. The incumbent will need to learn and understand court business and operations.

This position can be located in Carson City or Las Vegas. After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Support: Provide expert-level support for enterprise applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by end-users.
  • Customization and Configuration: Perform customization and configuration activities to support the workflow and business needs of the courts.
  • Report and Form Development: Develop custom reports and forms to support court business needs.
  • Incident Management: Monitor and manage application incidents from inception to resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • System Monitoring: Regularly monitor application performance, conduct routine health checks, and implement necessary preventive measures to maintain system stability.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for application configurations, workflows, support procedures, and issue resolution protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, IT infrastructure, and business teams to identify and address technical issues, implement improvements, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • User Training: Assist in training end-users on application functionalities and best practices to enhance their productivity and reduce support requests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues and work on long-term solutions to improve application performance and support efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards related to application support and data security.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support or application support roles, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server with solid skills in T-SQL development. Strong background in database management and SQL.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and address technical challenges efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude towards challenges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools.
  • Knowledge of document management systems and business workflow development.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in a court or similar environment is a plus.

Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee s household.
