Our Sr. Product Development Engineer - Renewable Power (PV) will work out of our West Division, located in Sacramento, CA. This position is responsible for the development and supervision of all phases of Solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and Microgrid Design/Build projects engineering, including but not limited to feasibility studies, engineering calculations, systems design, and layouts.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000+ depending on experience

Sr. Product Development Engineer - Renewable Power (PV) Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development and supervision of all phases of Solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) & Microgrid Design/Build projects engineering, including but not limited to feasibility studies, engineering calculations, systems design, and layout, etc.
  • Renewable Power projects cost estimating.
  • Coordination with utility companies, interconnection applications.
  • Financial analysis of Solar & BESS projects based on the utility rates and available incentives.
  • Review and implement SIQ engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the Company s sales and business development efforts.
  • When required, provide technical engineering input for estimating and bid proposals. Provide review of architect and engineer design documents for constructability. Provide value-engineering direction for Company engineering activities.
  • Provide assistance to other SIQ Engineers and Construction Managers, when required, to ensure successful implementation of BESS/PV projects.
  • As required, occasionally act as a Project Manager during the installation of BESS/PV projects.
  • Review and approve field design change requests prepared by field and other engineers.
  • Support pre-sale activities through meetings and discussions with prospective customers, representing SitelogIQ s capabilities in the Renewable Power space.
  • Support and/or act as a commissioning agent during installation and start-up of BESS/Microgrid systems.
  • In this capacity, represent SitelogIQ both internally and externally as an expert and Center-of-Expertise with respect to: battery storage systems, microgrid systems, renewable power control systems, and related fields.
  • Attend and participate in industry conferences, webinars, seminars, and the like to maintain current expertise in the state-of-the-art.
  • As necessary, support production of white papers, case studies, and other technical marketing documents.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by management.

Sr. Product Development Engineer - Renewable Power (PV) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in renewal power and microgrid project development, engineering and estimating.
  • Committed team player willing to plug in where needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to survey and access customer facilities as required.
