Job Description
Paradigm is looking for an Engineering Program Specialist - Hardware Devices to support our client in Palo Alto, CA. This position will manage supplier setup and payment, track finances, release BOMs, and allocate and distribute devices to the team. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to navigate complex spreadsheets and custom software, recognize when things are not moving on track and take action to unblock workflows when needed.

Type: 12-Month Contract
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite)

Responsibilities of the Engineering Program Specialist:

  • Maintain budget tracking for the program, create purchase requisitions, and reconcile purchase orders with invoices and shipments.
  • Set up new PO s, NDA s, and SOW s, working with suppliers and our legal and procurement teams.
  • Manage inventory of devices and equipment. Place orders for, Receive, Update/Set-Up, and Distribute devices to team members while tracking all activities.
  • Manage material shipments and logistics in collaboration with HP supply chain and resolve logistic issues with CM partners to expedite critical shipments.
  • Organize documentation and program files to create a consistent information structure across multiple programs.
  • Create accurate bills of material (BOM), process BOM releases, Engineering Change Orders, and Build Deviations.
  • Manage and drive material schedules for builds.
  • Identify areas to improve and optimize our processes, build consensus with stakeholders in engineering and program management, and implement changes.


Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Program Specialist, Project Manager, Program Manager, or relevant role in hardware development
  • Demonstrated experience in end to end NPI product lifecycle for a consumer or medical device
  • Proficient in creating and managing complex spreadsheets for configuration management and BOM structuring
  • Deep understanding of at least one industry standard PLM tool (Agile, Teamcenter, Arena, etc.) and task/issue management systems such as Asana, JIRA, Bugzilla
  • Familiarity with Electrical or Mechanical systems
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must have excellent communicates skills and be proficient in English
  • Must be a quick learner and able to self-drive activities to completion
