Job Description
Seeking a leader who thrives in high growth/emerging brands environment; beverage alcohol industry experience required
This role will develop and lead a NPD team that will support the company s growth objectives with a focus on innovation, quality, and industry-leading product development commercialization. This position plays a strategic role in leading and managing all facets of development, quality assurance, and ensuring the R&D budget objectives are met while maintaining a strong and competitive innovation portfolio. The role is responsible for departmental oversight including identification, development, and launch of successful new products. The position requires a person with exceptional technical knowledge and managerial skills.
- Lead the product development commercialization process, working closely with sales, marketing, and ops and coman teams to bring new products to the market
- Create and manage innovation pipeline of new products and oversee product lifecycle management
- Ability to cultivate a collaborative environment with different product teams and mentor more junior team members to help them grow as scientists and contributors
- Manage and scale process innovation to improve our core business
- Manage a small but growing R&D organization to keep timelines and strategically allocate resources across multiple projects
- Ability to balance both long term research initiatives and top line revenue driving product development
- Lead the team with passion and integrity, intellectual curiosity, and humility
- Ability to maintain processes and systems to ensure developmental success
Requirements
- 10-15+ years in an NPD/ Innovation/ Project Management position
- Extensive knowledge of Food/Bev CPG
- Project management skills: Demonstrated ability to push projects over the finish line, planning and persistent execution; ability to align resources and seek input of key stakeholders
- Fundamental knowledge of beverage processing technologies
- Understanding and maintenance of quality protocols
- Ability to venture out in the unknown
- People management skills: Demonstrated history of developing individuals and fostering collaborative work environment
