Web & Digital Media Designer

Details of Employment:

This is a remote* full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, with a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000. We have the desire to fill this position as soon as possible. *You'll work from home most of the time but we do have in-person internal and client meetings once in a while.

Primary Objective for This Position

The Web & Digital Media Designer is responsible for delivering exceptional creative and engaging user interface designs for our clients. They are the driving force for functional, seamless, creative and brand-aligned designs across a range of digital platforms.

Responsibilities of This Position

• Efficiently delivers high quality design services on time
  • Website and landing page design (35%)
  • Digital ad design (35%)
  • E-newsletter and social media design (20%)
  • UI and design strategy for presentations, including CRO testing with tools such as CrazyEgg or Hotjar (15%)
  • Other video, image editing, and production work as necessary (5%)
• Responds quickly to account management with client requests, and participates enthusiastically in team brainstorming and working sessions
• Pitches new initiatives to existing clients and continues to inform client strategies, helping account managers provide value to clients with deliverables
• Accurately estimates time required for work
• Stays on top of the industry
  • Ensure UI/UX standards and best practices are being utilized
  • Leveraging AI platforms and new technologies to increase design efficiency, where realistic and practical
• Act as an end-user advocate, driving user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions
• Performs user research and works with team members to track performance data to improve client results

Qualifications

• 2+ years UX/UI experience
• 3+ years web design experience
• Solid portfolio of successful user-centered design work and marketing campaigns
• Experience creating responsive designs with cross-browser compatibility and mobile optimization
• Ability to create polished visual designs using Adobe Creative Cloud
• Knowledge of the constraints and opportunities of designing for mobile and the responsive web, including WCAG AA accessibility standards
• Experience creating interactive prototypes using Figma
• Experience with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.
• Project management software experience, such as Monday.com

Soft Skills

• Ability to explain and iterate UI and design choices to clients
• Strong problem-solving and analytical aptitude with the ability to think out of the box
• Identifying opportunities to improve clients' digital presence
• Ability to effectively manage work across several clients
• Ability to quality check developer work
• A team player first, with ability to work independently/remotely
• Client-facing presentation skills

Nice to Haves

• Video editing for advertising (this is a major nice to have as this is a direction we are going with our clients)
• Agency experience
• General understanding of HTML, CSS - no implementation needed
