Description
As a member of the Cross-LOB Analytics team, you will play an important role in helping Claims meet its strategic objectives. You will deliver actionable and valuable analytical insights, collaborate regularly with stakeholders, assist in the evaluation and prioritization of high-value strategic efforts, and provide meaningful recommendations to senior leaders that drive valuable change across the Claims organization. The ideal candidate has strong SAS/SQL skills and thrives in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical work which directly impacts profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Evaluate and analyze results relative to expectation; understand, explain, and communicate variances, and adapt solutions to reflect emerging insights
  • Identify and analyze key drivers of trends across various Claims areas
  • Create recommendations and drive implementation through effective partnerships with stakeholders
  • Partner with colleagues to identify, design, quantify, and implement process/tech improvements
  • Manage aspects of moderate to complex projects and ad hoc requests to support operational goals
  • Develop, update, and monitor reports or SAS queries that provide insights on key performance indicators while supporting peers in completing their analyses; help migrate regularly scheduled reports to the reporting teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
