Commercial and Operations Director

As the Commercial and Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy and sales for Araks lingerie and swim collection for direct-to-consumer (DTC) and wholesale and ensuring key deliverables are met across functions. The Director will play a key role in partnering with Design, Product Development, Marketing, and Production to develop and implement strategies to grow sales and profitability, while aligning to the brand vision. The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth execution, fostering a creative and collaborative environment to maintain our schedule, and aligning the studio efforts around the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
  • Sales Management: Oversee and drive all sales activities, including DTC, wholesale, and international markets to deliver the results.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach and increase brand presence globally.
  • Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and sales.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the design and product development teams to align product offerings with market demands and consumer preferences.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve revenue targets and optimize profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing and promotional campaigns.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a senior commercial or sales role within the fashion industry, preferably luxury.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of DTC and wholesale business models.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
